During some of the most beloved and cozy family holidays, the children performed rituals and traditions observed in Bulgarian families for centuries - lighting the Christmas log in the hearth, breaking the bread with the lucky coin and offering blessings for health and prosperity in the home. They also welcomed the carolers, who sang songs praising the hosts, while their leader offered a blessing for prosperity, health and good fortune. The hosts generously rewarded the caroling group.
By recreating these customs, the Karamfilche Kindergarten No. 10 team, together with the parent community, aims to introduce children to national values and traditions in order to preserve and strengthen their national identity.
